strength & fitness for women

I currently offer one in-person strength & fitness class each week, designed specifically for women. It is a great way to enjoy strength-based exercise with the added benefits of social interaction in a shared space. You still get to work at your own pace but you’ll be surrounded by other supportive women doing the same thing.

Fitness class timetable:

Classes are offered at the following times (see class description below):

  • Mondays at 7pm – Women-Only Workout in Sissinghurst village hall (term-times)

The class is for women-only – promoting strength & cardio-vascular health, mental wellbeing, core stability, lean muscle tone and bone density, all of which become more important as we age.

Exercises are low-impact so that they are kind to your joints and pelvic floor muscles. Exercise variations are offered so that you can enjoy the moves which are best for your body.

Although I am here to encourage you to work hard, the class offers a self-paced workout so you are always in charge of your body and how much it does. Some days you will feel able to push yourself, some days you will need to go a little easier – you will learn to connect with your body and what it needs as you progress.

Class description:

  • Women-Only Workout – a 40-45 minute small-group exercise class in a supportive space, using strength training principles to help you to stay strong as you age. Each half-term we will focus on similar moves so that you can see your progress from week-to-week. You will often work in pairs or threes, so that you can support & encourage each other throughout the class, but with zero competition.

I’m hoping to add another Women-Only-Workout class each week so check-back for updates…
