I offer personal training on a one-to-one or small group basis, so that you can choose either an individual focus or a more cost-effective option, both of which deliver great results.
Benefits of personal training
Personal training is an excellent way to achieve results because:
- there is an individual focus on you
- sessions are built around your personal needs
- training times and venues are flexible to fit around your schedule
- there’s no hiding place in a one-to-one session!
What does personal training involve?
The content of your training sessions will vary around your needs. I have a range of equipment to bring with me to ensure that you meet your targets, but once we get started you may wish to buy some equipment so that you can workout at home between sessions.
Personal training can take place at your home if you have space available or in any suitable outdoor area.
Your first session will include a detailed health & lifestyle questionnaire and we will establish your key goals so that we both agree on the direction we are heading in. I will also run you through some simple movement and fitness assessments which will be repeated at various intervals as you progress.
One-to-one or with a friend?
Sessions can be one-to-one or shared with friends. Training individually gives a very direct focus on your needs. Training in a small group is still effective, but it can be fun to train with a friend and it helps to spread the cost.
We can discuss both options in more detail when we talk about your training needs.
Is it for me?
Personal training is perfect if you are training towards a specific goal, because every session will be focused on your finish line - whether that is improving your health on advice from your doctor, training for a fitness challenge or shaping up to fit into your wedding dress.
Personal training is ideal if you have a busy lifestyle and struggle to get to timetabled classes. We can work around your commitments and find a time that suits you.
Personal training is good if you want to incorporate nutritional advice. We can look at your eating habits as well as your exercise routine and implement effective strategies for weight loss.
