weekly update 25th November

Hello again!

Hope you’ve all had a great week? The highlight of mine (apart from training lots of lovely people like you!) was making my very first Christmas cake on Wednesday evening - quite by accident it’s half gone already (!) so I’m going to make another one over the weekend…flour-free of course and packed with currants, sultanas, dried cranberries, walnuts, raisins and dried apricots – YUM!

Detox:

I’m very excited to be gradually getting all the slideshows and information sorted out ready to launch my Active Living weight-loss workshops in January but I’m looking for two more ‘guinea pigs’ to try the cleanse & detox program over the next two weeks…

If you haven’t read my blog about the cleanse I did recently, it basically combines a healthy eating plan with a 10-day course of herbal detox capsules, with the aim of detoxing the major organs in your digestive system. This allows your body to work more efficiently, allowing it to shed unwanted body fat as the toxins are released (body fat is used as storage for toxins that your body cannot otherwise handle). The package includes all the herbal supplements, your liquid chlorophyll drink and a booklet which provides all the science behind the detox as well as daily meal plans and menus for a full month.

If you are interested in buying the package at half price and completing the process over the next few weeks, please email me and I will be in touch. Please be aware however that I can only take 2 more guinea pigs and you will need you to agree to:

  • follow the detox fully for a minimum of 14 days
  • complete the detox program before Christmas
  • let me use a before and after photograph (fully-clothed!) on my website and publicity materials
  • provide me with a brief testimonial that I can use on my website and publicity materials

The reduced cost of this package is £75 and I will have them available by Tuesday next week so let me know if you want to look and feel your best by Christmas…

Running workshop in Hawkhurst:

I was really excited this week to get an email from Sam Murphy (Rye-based running coach and published author on running) about a running workshop she will be holding at Marlborough House school in January.

If you are a runner and would like advice on how to run better, this workshop is made for you. But don’t feel that you have to be a serious runner to attend – it’s for anyone that wants to learn more about running.

Follow the links below for more information and bookings.

Spirit of Christmas at Bluewater:

Just a reminder that this event takes place next week (30th November-4th December) so if shopping is more your thing than running make sure you have got your tickets by following the link below:

If you’re going next Sunday I may see you there!

Christmas meal:

Final call to anyone that wants to come to the first tmf Christmas meal…

You need to get your payment and main course selection to Nita by the end of this week. She’s away this week but will collate everything when she gets back – let me know if you have any questions in the meantime.

Bootcamp – the week ahead:

We’re back to week 1 for the 6.15am bootcampers & I promise we’ll do the fitness test on Monday! It’s your last 4 weeks of the year so please could any slackers (you know who you are!!) make extra effort to get your butt out of bed bright and early and finish 2012 with a flourish…

It’s week 2 for the 9am team – in theory that means it will be slightly harder than last week, although by all accounts last week was quite hard enough?! Do remember that you always have a choice how hard you work – I just provide you with the exercise framework, but you can decide how hard to work within it…

6.15am @ DCPS:

  • Monday – Fitness test & Partner work 1 (no DB)
  • Wednesday – ME 25 (DB)
  • Friday – PHA conditioning (DB)

9am @ Benenden:

  • Monday – High/low tabatas (no DB)
  • Tuesday – ME 21 (DB)
  • Wednesday – Partner work 2 (no DB)
  • Thursday – ME 22 (DB)
  • Friday – Fitness Pilates (no DB)

Advanced reminder for next week…please don’t forget that there are no bootcamp sessions on Friday 9th December as I am attending a training session that day. There will be a 6.15am session on Thursday 8th December @ DCPS instead and the 9am sessions will only run 4 days next week. Sorry to mess you about.

& finally

Here’s my favourite foodie pic from facebook this week…

Enjoy what’s left of the weekend – see you soon
