Weekly update 10th September

 Hi – what a busy week it was!

I had all sorts of plans to get myself more organised with my admin this week and in theory it’s looking pretty good…I just didn’t quite manage to follow the plan which is why I’m writing this on Saturday afternoon instead of yesterday!! I guess it’s always like that the first week back, but at least I now have everything in place to make next week a success.

Hopefully you’ve all got yourselves into gear this week too, ready for an action-packed week of fitness and bootcamp sessions? There were a few aching limbs (mine included) this week but you know that it gets better the more you do…so don’t put it off too long.

If you missed the fitness test on Monday you can always do it at home and let me know your scores so that you can compare next month – or just use next month as your starting point?! (see last weeks update for details of the test) One other thing you could do to keep track of your progress is to take some key measurements this weekend and then check them again in 4-6 weeks. Measure the following points on your body:

  • chest at nipple level
  • waist at narrowest point
  • mid-section at belly button level
  • hips at widest point
  • thigh at widest point
  • upper arm at widest point

You don’t have to share them with me – just keep hold of them and watch how your body changes shape…

Apparently it takes around 3 weeks to make something a habit so make sure you get back into your bootcamp habit this week & then just hang in there to see great results in no time at all. It also helps to stick with something if you share the experience, so why not let your friends know about bootcamp? They get a free trial session & you get to workout with a friend…and they’ll love you for introducing them to a great fitness formula that will get them feeling fit and fabulous in time for the LBD season!! & did you know that as an added bonus you can earn a free month by recommending 3 friends who go on to sign up to any of my bootcamps, classes or PT? If you want to bring someone along just ask them to email me (jane@taylormadefitness.biz) so that I can send them a health questionnaire beforehand.

One of the jobs that didn’t get done this week, until now, was for me to download some fresh music for ME – but I’m listening to it as I type and it’s sounding very good…listen out for it in the week :-)

One for the ladies – female hormone therapies & weight gain:

This video from Jade Teta explains the issues around weight gain for women who use oral contraceptives or HRT. He goes into a great deal of detail but hang in there to the end to hear his advice about what you can do to reduce the negative effects on your body.

 

This is great information that will help you to understand why you may struggle with fat loss and what you can do to help. Let me know if you have any questions related to this.

  • Wednesday – ME 14
  • Friday – Mixed toning 50/10

9am @ Benenden:

  • Monday – Partner work (no holding hands!!)
  • Tuesday – ME 3
  • Wednesday – Alternate high & low impact tabatas
  • Thursday – ME 4
  • Friday – 45/15 circuit

Don’t forget that you can come to any of the bootcamp sessions, regardless of which you are signed up to, and that you can also come and join my Super-Circuits class on Monday evenings (7pm in the sports hall @ DCPS) if you wish.
